Shicoh had little funds and no factory when it started its first operations with a few employees at Yamato City as a small high-tech venture.
Our dream was to be as creative as possible, and we committed ourselves to producing new products which contain technologies not found anywhere else in the world. With this starting principle, over the years we have continued to develop technologies from our own minds and new ideas.
Shicoh has always challenged the miniaturization of motors - a field which others regarded as "impossible" - with a unique approach and new ideas. During this process Shicoh has, on occasion, reached points beyond which it found it initially could not go based on existing technology and principles. At this point its creative people's enthusiastic minds have really got started, and Shicoh, once again, has employed groundbreaking technology and theory to find solutions.
In other words, Shicoh has discovered by practical experience that by discovering or varying a new technological theory or rule it is, in fact, possible to develop a completely new product which no one could have imagined was possible in the past.
Accordingly, Shicoh's ultra-fine miniature motors are adopted by world class companies as key components of their bestselling products.
We will go on "doing what no one else is doing", and will continue to be aggressive in challenging new fields of engineering.
